Pewter Stool, self sand-casting furniture

It was on Max Lamb’s favourite childhood beach, in Cornwall, where he produced his hexagonal stool.

Made out of melted pewter – a malleable alloy consisting mainly of tin with small amounts of copper and other metals – poured into a mould that can be used only once, this piece of furniture gains a unique relation with the place where it gains shape. The artisanal manufacturing process developed by the British designer makes the result unpredictable and unique, given the object a unique charm.
